Here’s what happened about 2 years ago. I was just starting to work in an office in PJ. One day, I saw this article in Mastika, about how a group of people records couples making out in some recreational park, and distributing it on VCDs, and via the Net.
Curious, I went on a hunt via the Net, and found a reservoir of such videos, alongside some others captured on cameraphones. From there, I found more and more similar sites, some from links provided by the videos and images, some from the links in the site itself.
Some of these images and videos are most probably from digital cameras and cameraphones which were stolen, or the image itself were taken by some irresponsible image printing operator. Not to mention those stored in hard disks and found by those repairing or servicing it. Some, are taken purposely to be spread, such as voyeur and self-prostituting images.
What I’m trying to say is, putting too much information about something like this is actually considered as a free advertisement. People went from not knowing anything at all about it, to knowing too much. A simple search on Google could return all the relevant sites, as done by me at that time.
Recently, there’s an article on Metro on the front page, about some kids singing to some illicit songs on Youtube. The image they’ve shown on the article (on the front page) suggests that there’s also some illicit imagery. Imagine the amount of searches these videos will have after the exposure, giving them much wanted popularity (after all, they did post it on Youtube’s public domain).
At times, these exposure are good, since one of the articles in Metro had caused one of the sites to close down. But most of the times, we have no control of the site itself, since it’s managed by non-local hosting, so the public are helpless, and the perverts gain access to it.
Simply put, if there’s something the public should not know, then don’t talk about it, but close it discreetly. This is what governments all over the world have been doing. although there are much debate on the freedom of speech and the right to know, these are the kind of things that public should not know about ungoverned.

Sorry, but your point doesn’t come across clearly at all.
There’s nothing wrong at all with pornography, local or not. Sex is sex – even if there was no local pornography available on the Web people will still have access to millions of terrabytes of Western, Japanese or Korean adult movies.
And why should the government or the media of all people have any say at all in what we watch. In fact, porn could be considered educational material in this country due to the pathetic state of sex-ed in our local schools.
you still haven’t tell us how to find!
T-Back : T-back, my point was, these tabloids and magazine’s articles advertises the porn sites rather than educating against it. these articles provides the necessary keywords to be used to search local for porn on the net.
Although I disagree with you with about porn, I have to say to see local porn is more enticing rather than international ones. The abundance in Western, Japanese and Chinese porn makes it less entertaining, rather than watching those that we know is in our own country.
Don’t confuse yourself with porn and sex education. You don’t do anal , nor insert things like bottle and stuff in sex ed. In fact, most local porn DO NOT use contraceptives, but rely on the male to ejaculate externally. a simple miscalculation may impregnate the female, and may lead to another dead baby.
The government and the media should not have much control over what we watch, but porn is not something you can just show to your children. T-back, I imagine you as someone who haven’t had any kids (yet?), and enjoys porn. Would you be watching porn with your 5 year old kid sometime later?
ky :This is actually a take on how tabloids and magazines can advertise these porn sites instead of educating the masses to avoid it. If you want to find it, try to find hints in those articles

On the contrary, local pornography is exclusively made by amateurs and features lousy models, poor camerawork and bad lighting. No, not more enticing IMO although it is very subjective.
>Don’t confuse yourself with porn and sex education.<
I’m not. Pornography doesn’t even come near the standard of sex-ed. However, a little is still better than none – which is the case in our country.
You’re right that local pornography rarely involves the use of condoms or contraceptives. Precisely because of the lack of sex-ed due to religious fanatics pressuring the government. Whats worse is the “actors” in local pornographic films are ordinary folks instead of paid pros.
So who’s to blame for dead babies? Porn or crazy ulamaks? All evidence points to the latter.
>T-back, I imagine you as someone who haven’t had any kids (yet?), and enjoys porn. Would you be watching porn with your 5 year old kid sometime later?<
Obviously not a 5-year old, but almost definitely with a 15-16 year old, especially if I have a son. He is definitely going to watch porn anyway (anyone who says they haven’t watched it is a liar), I’d rather he watch it with an adult than with one of his friends.
T-back : although this has gone off topic, I’ll reply to your comment.
local or not, it’s up to the person’s preference. My reason for not preferring the amateurs are the same as the reason i don’t like pro-wrestling: too much acting.
Pornography is a means to relieve sexual desire, by feeding the imaginative nature of our minds. sex-ed, on the other hand, educates us the way on to handle sex. those are completely different things. Although SOME ulamas are against sex-ed for the teens, ALL are against porn, and ALL are into sex-ed for the married. We do teach sex-ed, you know…but only to those going to be or are married. as for the children and teens, the sex-ed only touches the basic topics, more towards moral and ethics. whose to blame for dead babies? of the 2 choice you provided, I say porn. there are many more…but that’s another topic, don’t you agree?
I would congrat you if your teengae children would watch porn with you. Many wouldn’t even speak about sex with their parents even when the parents bring the topics up, moreover porn. But before we have any teenage sons and daughters ourselves, let’s set aside our ‘plans’ on how to handle these matters first, since when the time comes, only then do we know. It’s easier to say than done, believe me.
