You know those pesky little things, that disturbs our favorite programme on TV, takes up to half the airtime of the programme itself, and sometimes, causes us to miss the whole show because our child(ren) starts to wail wanting the thing they just saw.
Yes, advertisements.
However, I’m not going to rant about it, nor am I going to write anything good about it. It’s just that some adverts have their own legacy, their own tradition that stands against time, ever since we’re still small. Something that we can relate to our child years, something that we may not know explicitly, but it’s there in our mind. Just a little intro, and we would remember the rest, without even knowing it. Thanks the Marketers who hammered it right onto our brain
I’m talking about the adverts’ song/music.

also, want to make a comment about the Tora, Ding Dang and whetever else adverts with Mat Sentul as the voice-over…
one time, Ding Dang came out with a ‘magic top’ (gasing la). and Mat Sentul was his over-exagerrating self saying,
‘Ding Dang datang lagi,
dengan Gasing Ajaib!’
‘Tengok adik-adik! Ia berpusing-pusing!’
at that time, although being of a very tender age… i asked myself, isn’t that what tops supposed to do???
IT’S A GASING!!! OF COURSE IT’S GOING TO SPIN AROUND!!!

haha. sampai lirik penuh jugak. I forgot about the Gardenia one! that one used to get stuck in my head all the time, because it drove me crazy trying to getthe timing right on the ‘Sungguh Enak Dimakan Begitu Saja’ part. haha
